#2472. Dude, Where’s My Job? is a six-lesson program for a career guidance curriculum program that instructs students in the steps necessary to prepare, interview and find that elusive first real job.
Designed to save teachers hours of research and preparation and preparation, this program also includes a detailed, reproducible 21-page Teacher’s Lesson Plan which includes worksheets for personality profile assessments, career matching, resume writing, nonverbal communication, proper dress, interviewing and follow-up.
This program follows high school senior “Will” as he attempts to find a job. He quickly learns that trying a casual, laid back approach to finding a job is a lot more challenging than just looking through the newspaper, picking up the phone and showing up for an interview.
This informative, engaging and humorous live-action program demonstrates the critical steps necessary to find a job. Also includes an additional Career Planning and Guidance program “Self-Esteem and Your First Job,” which prepares students for their first job and teaches the importance of self-confidence in the workplace. Students will learn:How to prospect for jobs, How to write a resume, How to dress for success, How to communicate and “sell” themselves in an interview, How to gain the competitive edge and build self-esteem.
