Description

#7730   Nothing reveals the dangers of drug addiction more accurately than honesty. In this intense program, filmmaker Paul Perrier interviews a family friend, crack cocaine-addicted Lisa, in her dingy hotel room where she prostitutes herself to earn the money she needs to buy drugs.
Although she grew up in a middle-class family, attended good schools, and had well-behaved friends, Lisa began drinking alcohol and using illegal drugs in her early teens. She speaks frankly about her many stints in recovery programs, her failure to stay clean after leaving them, and her life as an addict.
Since the completion of this video, Lisa has used it to raise substance abuse awareness by educating others about addiction and as a tool for her own recovery.
