Ray Schreyer and John McCarter
"Pioneers in Internet recruitment and revolutionizing
human resources functions within organizations"
Ray Schreyer and John McCarter are two of the world's leading pioneers on Internet recruitment and advertising. In the '90s they were literally at the "center of creation" in developing Internet strategies for recruiting personnel and increasing the productivity of human resource personnel. Their book, The Employer's Guide to Recruiting On the Internet, was a major cutting-edge work for companies, showing how they could harness the power of the Internet to recruit talented personnel.
Ray Schreyer is currently Program Manager of Internet Recruiting Strategies & Technology for the IBM Corporation. He is part of the IBM Strategy and Technology Department and leader of the IBM Global Internet Recruiting Strategy & Technology Team.
He began his HR career at First Union National Bank, where he pioneered the use of the Internet for recruiting, breaking long cherished paradigms, and setting new standards for cost effectiveness. He later became a content provider to America Online's Career Center and served as the Director of New Business for Monster.com.
While working at Monster.com he was challenged by a client (Little & Associates) to re-enter the corporate arena and lead a major expansion effort. As Director of Employment for Little, he doubled the size of the organization and maintained a Cost per Hire of $1,650 for exempt professionals (EMA standards).
