Inmates and former inmates discuss what they did to safeguard their sobriety after either reintegration into general population or release from incarceration. As one former inmate explains in the DVD, "The time and energy we once wasted on our addiction is now available for developing our talents and skills."

Offering straightforward and helpful advice, participants talk about their experiences in four critical areas:

1. finding a place to live
   
2. searching for a job
   
3. figuring out how to handle spare time
   
4. discovering who to turn to for support
