Daniel Porot

A leading pioneer in career design and job hunting for over 30 years, Daniel Porot is an internationally recognized career expert. He received his MBA in 1966 from INSEAD, a leading business school in Europe. He began his career with Exxon and Amoco before starting his own career business in 1971.
He has authored more than 20 French-language career books, several of which are bestsellers, and translated Richard Nelson Bolles's book, What Color Is Your Parachute? into French. He has written four books for the American audience:
Daniel has personally trained over 15,000 job hunters and 600 career counselors, and his training materials are used by over 2 million job hunters worldwide. He initiated and set up Job Clubs throughout Europe and has conducted special studies and surveys on more than 500,000 hard-core unemployed individuals.
His company has performed contracts in 30 countries. He has worked with multinational corporations, universities, official state placement government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and spiritual and religious organizations.
For 20 years Daniel taught an annual two-week workshop with Richard Bolles.
For four years Daniel and Frances Bolles Haynes wrote a weekly column for The Wall Street Journal, responding to career questions posed by readers and offering career advice to readers of the Career Journal discussion boards.
