Each DVD integrates testimonials of recovering addicts, insights from addiction specialist Saul Selby (previously the Clinical Director at Hazelden), and Slick, "the voice of addiction."
Slick is an animated puppet that represents the addicted voice, giving viewers "bad" advice, which helps addicts understand their own self-destructive thinking process. Slick, "who" makes these products both humorous and memorable, has been mentioned twice on CBS's 60 Minutes.
